Greetings Fellow Soroptimists:
Soroptimist International of Simcoe County is excited to be inviting you to our Chartering Luncheon on Sunday, November 16th, at the Gibson Centre in Alliston. For more than three years, the chartering committee; Margaret MacRae, Alison Sanders, and Sue Gilbert, have worked with us to build membership and finally charter a club in Simcoe County. The commitment of all of the women involved is amazing, however, we will never be able to say enough about the gratitude we feel towards the three women who make up the Chartering Committee. They have travelled to be at every one of our meetings for the past three years, and have never faltered. Their dedication is inspiring and speaks to the goal of the organization; to be the best for women.
Within days of having reached the magic number 18 in membership (needed to charter), we exceeded our goal and added another member. As of our last meeting, we have 19 confirmed members. And we plan to have more! We look forward to sharing our excitement with other Soroptimists and guests. Come out to meet us, and while you’re at it, take a look at our scrapbook (gifted to us by chartering member, Margaret MacRae), see what we have planned for the future, and if you are not already a Soroptimist, perhaps our enthusiasm will inspire you to join! We look forward to sharing in the celebration of women at our Chartering party, and we look forward to meeting you.
The Gibson Centre for Community, Arts & Culture is a beautifully restored factory building, located in Alliston, and a magnificent location for holding Soroptimist International of Simcoe County’s chartering party.
